Heather Miller works at Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana where she develops services for schools so that teachers and parents can understand the challenges that trauma and mental illnesses place on students and their ability to learn. Previously, she worked at a Montessori school as the art specialist. In that position, she used the arts and the creative process to help students gain confidence in their ability to express their own thoughts. She also used the creative process to coach students to think logically and progressively through solving challenges by taking risks and testing solutions. Heather makes art for personal healing and expression. She enjoys making art that stimulates wonder about the self and how we as individuals fit within the whole.
